Key West World Championship Offshore Powerboat Races IIDay two of the Key West 2014 World Championship Offshore Powerboat Races was exciting as ever. Sunny blue skies and calm waters was the backdrop for these over as many of the winners from Day 1 continued their winning streak setting them up well for the finals on Sunday. Unlike the first two race days the winds are expected to pick up on Sunday as thunderstorms move in on the race course. On Wednesday we caught the races from Fort Zach always a good spot near turn #2 where the Atlantic Ocean meets the Gulf of Mexico often creating turbulent conditions. Yesterday we found ourselves at the Pier House near the Race Start and the very tight turn #3. Friday night all the race boats lined Duval street for a big street festival.
