Delta Wanderings III – Sept 2014 "Hot & Orange"I normally don’t post “Delta Wanderings” out of sequence but in spite of the wild sunset paramotor aerials of last night (yet to be posted) I had to share the simplicity of tonite. It was a hot, still, sultry evening for the Delta as we wandered down to the dock for our daily Delta constitutional. Headed out a little later than normal Captain Linda guided us straight towards Indian Slough where we hoped to find some nice magic hour light. In the middle of catching up with Mom and Dad via cell Linda spotted our icon of the evening, a Great Blue Heron against a hot orange sky with a giant white hot orb of a sun rapidly dropping towards the horizon. We had to say a quick goodnight to mom and dad to seize the moment. The rest of the night was about silhouettes inflamed in hot orange. http://www.DeltaWanderings.com BTW I just have to say how lucky are we to wander out into our backyard and see this stuff every night!
